Our intensive four-week course will give you the skills and confidence to tackle just about any tiling job. We start with the basics and then work up to complex layouts and designs and unusual types of tile, giving you plenty of time to practice and refine your technique. The more you practice the faster you’ll get – and that’s the key to maximising earnings and profitability.
Your final exercise is your first ‘real’ job at a professional level. You will produce a quotation for half tiling a bathroom including borders, wall and floor tiles. Then you do the job as per your estimate and see how much profit you’ve made. If at the end of the course you need more time, we’ll let you continue free of charge.
Unlike other tiling courses we also give you full business start-up training including:
- How to open your business bank account, deal with accountants, arrange public liability insurance, register for VAT, deal with national insurance and tax, do your own basic bookkeeping and become self-employed
- How and where to market your tiling business and what business stationery you need
- How to deal with customers to attract ‘word of mouth’ new business
- How to correctly quote for a job
- How to measure up for the correct number of wall/floor tiles
- A full breakdown of all the tools required
- Automatic trade accounts with two leading UK tile and adhesive manufacturers
- Access to a free after-course helpline which is available from 7:30am to 7:30pm Monday – Friday
